    Panel Discussion Highlights

The launch included a panel titled “The Role of Ecosystem Support Organizations (ESOs) in Building an Investable Climate Tech Pipeline”, emphasizing impact investment and the need for:

    • Stronger collaboration between public and private actors
    • Alignment between academia and industry
    • Tailored support for early-stage startups
    • Panelist Observations

      • Sayyed Ahmad Masood: Incubation programs should be customized for startup stages and needs.
      • Shehryar Hyderi: Climate tech could drive post-2025 micro-recovery despite current funding drought.
      • Merai Syed: Ecosystem support lags behind climate tech demand; academia should align with practical challenges.
      • Zainab Saeed: Gender inclusion is vital; barriers for women-led ventures should be addressed through mentorship, capital access, and visibility support.
      • The discussion underscored the urgent need for specialized incubation programs and targeted capacity-building curricula, backed by a mix of global and local experts and experienced founders.
