Pakistan's energy transition faces a critical financing bottleneck as less than 1% of private sector credit flows to renewable energy, while legacy expensive fossil fuel investments have kept the current energy infrastructure hostage.

What We Do: We aim to transform Pakistan's energy financing landscape from an exclusive system into an inclusive, market-driven ecosystem that accelerates renewable energy deployment. Through innovative financial instruments, institutional capacity building, and policy advocacy, we enable new clean energy investments by removing barriers that currently block renewable energy development.

Global energy cooperation falls short of what's needed for Global South development pathways, with bilateral partnerships failing to evolve beyond traditional approaches. Progress remains hindered by outdated, centralized and infrastructure-heavy models.

What We Do: We transform international energy cooperation from conventional fossil-based mega infrastructure projects to meaningful collaboration that enables local manufacturing, technology transfer, and green finance flows. Through high-level dialogues, mobilizing global green capital, and business matchmaking, we support the establishment of new models for South-South cooperation, particularly focusing on cooperation with China, that other developing economies can replicate.

Pakistan's energy transition is held back by widespread knowledge gaps as many working in energy and climate lack access to relevant, localized, and practical learning. Higher education institutions fail to produce professionals that meet energy sector workplace demands, creating a critical void that undermines Pakistan's energy transition efforts.

What We Do: We build expertise needed to drive informed energy transition through a three-tiered approach targeting internal teams, partner organizations, and the broader ecosystem. Our flagship Margalla School on Energy & Climate develops young professionals who become champions of evidence-based energy policy within their organizations.
